Overview
The goal of this feature was to educate potential hearing aid customers about the stigmas and misconceptions about hearing aids. Many (if not most) first time hearing aid users have never seen or held a modern hearing aid in the hands, but many have stuck in their minds, the idea that hearing aids are still big, bulky and ugly pieces of technology that will expose their “disability” to others. Nothing far from the reality of modern hearing aids. Through the use of Augmented Reality, official hear.com / audibene app users that have never held a hearing aid in their hands, now the chance to experience the evolution of hearing aids through a Time Machine that will guide them through the advancements and improvements of this technology in last 3 decades, and also learning how small and convenient modern hearing aids are and what they are capable of today.
Key achievements:
• Design Interfaces for native Augmented Reality applications in both Android and iOS systems (ARCore and ARKit).
• Design new gestures and interaction paradigms to interact in VR and AR environments.
